Proplina extensum

Taxonomy
Tryblidium extensum was named by Berkey (1898). Its type specimen is AMNH 22276, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 kilometer south of Taylors Falls, half kilometer north of Folsom Island, which is in a Steptoean coastal sandstone in the Franconia Formation of Minnesota.

It was recombined as Proplina extensum by Yochelson and Webers (2006).

Webers 2006Elongate, low, rugose shells; apical area is unknown, shorter slope is unknown; longer slope of dorsum is very gently curved; shell is seemingly low and uniformly arched laterally; growth lines are rugose, simple in outline, slightly irregular in spacing, but generally separated by about 1 millimeter.
