Scelorhagio mecomastigus
Taxonomy
Scelorhagio mecomastigus was named by Zhang et al. (1993). Its type specimen is Shandong Provincial Museum L88812, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Nanligezhuang, Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City (Shandong Prov. Mus.), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China. It is the type species of Scelorhagio.
