Strepsodiscus franconiensis
Taxonomy
Hypseloconus franconiensis was named by Berkey (1898). Its type specimen is AMNH 2271, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 kilometer south of Taylors Falls, half kilometer north of Folsom Island, which is in a Steptoean coastal sandstone in the Franconia Formation of Minnesota.
It was recombined as Strepsodiscus franconiensis by Wagner (2023).
