Dilophus pinguis

Taxonomy
Bibio pinguis was named by Heer (1849). Its type specimen is SLJG 77473, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (Grätz Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.

It was recombined as Dilophus pinguis by Skartveit and Krizmanić (2020).
