Taxonomy
Brontops gobiensis was named by Osborn (1925). Its type specimen is AMNH 20354, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Parabrontops gobiensis by Granger and Gregory (1943) and Mihlbachler (2008).
