Dacne (Dacne) brodzinskyi was named by Skelley (1997). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Florida State Collection of Arthropods), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Dacne brodzinskyi by Skelley (2003), Alekseev (2014) and Keller and Skelley (2019).
