Taxonomy
Zarzia zherichini was named by Zaitzev (1986). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr amber, Yantardakh Hill (PIN collection 3130), which is in a Santonian terrestrial amber in the Kheta Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Zarzia.
