Ponerites elongatus
Taxonomy
Poneropsis elongata was named by Heer (1867). Its type specimen is NHMW 1852.XXIX.33, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (NHMW Wien Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Ponerites elongatus by Dlussky and Putyatina (2014).
