Warsawia was named by Carter (1974) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-l Sepkoski's reference number: 440,955]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Spiriferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Spiriferinae by Waterhouse (2004) and Williams et al. (2006).
