Taxonomy
Orthis redux was named by Barrande (1848). It is the type species of Drabovia.

It was recombined as Pionodema redux by Schuchert and Cooper (1932); it was recombined as Drabovia redux by Havlicek (1951), Colmenar et al. (2014) and Hints and Harper (2015).
