Taxonomy
Paracaloceras concavum was named by Taylor (1998). Its type specimen is NWMNH 25031, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (Canadensis zone), which is in an Angulata marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.
