Karatina pellita

Taxonomy
Karatina pellita was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 2066/1317, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2066), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Karatina.
