Taxonomy
Teicherticeras senior was named by Chlupac and Turek (1983). Its type specimen is UUG ICh5370, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Svarcava Valley, west of Solopysky, which is in an Emsian marine shale in the Zlichov Formation of the Czech Republic.
