Taxonomy
Terebratulites gracilis was named by Schlotheim (1813).

It was recombined as Terebratulina gracilis by Böhm (1891), Johansen and Surlyk (1990) and Gaspard and Odin (2001); it was recombined as Gyrosoria gracilis by Cooper (1973) and Sklenar and Simon (2009).
