Taxonomy
Gephyroceras (Probeloceras) genundewa was named by Clarke (1898). Its type specimen is NYSM 3645 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Acanthoclymenia genundewa by Becker and House (2000), Korn and Klug (2002) and House and Kirchgasser (2008).
