Carinoceras vagans
Taxonomy
Manticoceras vagans was named by Clarke (1898). Its type specimen is NYSM 3805, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loose block among Portage outcrops, Naples, which is in a Frasnian marine sandstone in New York.
It was recombined as Carinoceras vagans by Korn and Klug (2002) and House and Kirchgasser (2008).
