Taxonomy
Tornoceras (Tornoceras) concentricum was named by House (1965). Its type specimen is NYSM 11963, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Tornoceras concentricum by Korn and Klug (2002); it was recombined as Phoenixites concentricus by House and Kirchgasser (2008).
