Taxonomy
Choristoceras robustum was named by Taylor and Guex (2002). Its type specimen is NWMNH 25515, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Reno Draw, section d, 1 m below top of Mount Hyatt Mb, which is in a Rhaetian marine limestone in the Gabbs Formation of Nevada.
