Taxonomy
Muensteroceras quadriconstrictum was named by Korn et al. (2003). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.3922, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ksar Bouhamed A, Taouz, Oued Znaigui Formation, Tafilalt, which is in a Tournaisian basinal (siliciclastic) mudstone in the Oued Znaigui Formation of Morocco.
