Taxonomy
Pinacites eminens was named by Chlupac and Turek (1977). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Praha-Hlubocepy (Hanus collection), which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Chotec Formation of the Czech Republic.
