Taxonomy
Sellanarcestes ebbighauseni was named by Klug (2002). Its type specimen is GPIT 1871-171, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Amessoui (Tafilalt), which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in Morocco.
