Taxonomy
Subanarcestes sphaeroides was named by Klug (2002). Its type specimen is GPIT 1871-10, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eifelian at Jebel Ouaoufilal West, S. Tafilalt, which is in an Eifelian marine limestone/marl in Morocco.
