Wightipsocus acourti

Taxonomy
Psocus acourti was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH In.24366, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Psocidus acourti by Lienhard and Smithers (2002); it was recombined as Wightipsocus acourti by Azar (2014).
