Sphaerancistrocerus petiolatus
Taxonomy
Sphaerancistrocerus petiolatus was named by Antropov (2014). Its type specimen is BMNH I.8967, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Sphaerancistrocerus.
