Taxonomy
Brachycycloceras washingtonense was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119017, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 1608, Pilot Mountain, which is in a Pendleian marine sandstone in the Fayetteville Formation of Arkansas.
