Taxonomy
Dolorthoceras incisum was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119044, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 15303, Sulphur Springs Hollow, which is in an Arnsbergian marine shale in the Imo Formation of Arkansas.
