Taxonomy
Muensteroceras collinsoni was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119484, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 14346, White River at Glenn Creek, which is in a Kinderhookian carbonate limestone in the Walls Ferry Formation of Arkansas.
