Hedstroemina fragilis

Taxonomy
Hedstroemina fragilis was named by Bancroft (1929) [= ?1883 Strophomena Callawayiana Davidson, p. 193, pl. 16, figs 6–7. Lectotype selected by Cocks (1978, p. 112)]. Its type specimen is BB 14380, a shell (ventral internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Hedstroemina.

Synonyms
  • Hedstroemina parva was named by Bancroft (1929) [lectotype selected by Cocks (1978, p. 112).]. Its type specimen is BB 14385, a valve (ventral internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Hedstroemina fragilis by Cocks (2010).
  • Strophomena callawayiana was named by Davidson (1883) [Strophomena Callawayiana].

    It was recombined as Dactylogonia callawayiana by Cocks (1978); it was replaced with Hedstroemina fragilis by Cocks (2010).
  • Hedstroemina robusta was named by Bancroft (1929).

    It was synonymized subjectively with Hedstroemina fragilis by Cocks (2010).
