Eowellerites moorei
Taxonomy
Bendoceras moorei was named by Plummer and Scott (1937). Its type specimen is B.E.G. P-4847 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UTBEG 153-T-6, San Saba highway, 5.6 km east and 1.4 km south of Rochelle, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Smithwick Formation of Texas.
It was synonymized subjectively with Paralegoceras texanum by Miller and Furnish (1940); it was recombined as Eowellerites moorei by Gordon (1964).
