Taxonomy
Trizonoceras lepidum was named by Girty (1909). It is the type species of Glyphiolobus, Paradimorphoceras (Glyphiolobus).

It was recombined as Paradimorphoceras (Glyphiolobus) lepidum by Gordon (1964); it was recombined as Glyphiolobus lepidus by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971).
