Mendacella bleikeriensis
Taxonomy
Mendacella bleikeriensis was named by Baarli (1988) [= 1982 Mendacella cf. mullockiensis (Davidson); Thomsen and Baarli, pI. 1, figs. 13 and 14.
= 1987 Mendacella sp.; Baarli, fig. 5c]. Its type specimen is PMO 105221, a shell (internal mould of brachial valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Skytterveien, 60-70 meters above base of Leangen member, which is in an Aeronian marine mudstone/sandstone in the Solvik Formation of Norway.
