Taxonomy
Thurmannella acuticosta was named by Childs (1969). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Filey Brigg, which is in an Oxfordian shallow subtidal limestone in the Lower Calcaerous Grit Formation of the United Kingdom.
