Taxonomy
Acanthorhynchia (Acanthorhynchia) vilsensis was named by Childs (1969). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Legam bei Vils, which is in a Callovian carbonate chalk in the Vilser Kalk Formation of Austria.
