Pachydiscus neevesi was named by Whiteaves (1903).

Synonyms
  • Parapachydiscus bidwelli was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 27838.04, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS Loc. 27838, Chico Creek, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Chico Formation of California.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Pachydiscus neevesi by Matsumoto (1959).
