Taxonomy
Puzosia (Austiniceras) giganteum was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 2245.03, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 2245, Dry Creek, which is in a Turonian marine siliciclastic in California.
