Taxonomy
Oregoniceras phoenixense was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 61812.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Forty-nine mine, south of Phoenix (Turonian blocks), which is in a Turonian marine siliciclastic in Oregon.
