Taxonomy
Synechodus duffini was named by Underwood and Ward (2004). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Watton Cliff, Dorset, oyster-belemnite bed [Frome Clay Fm], which is in a Bathonian marine claystone in the Frome Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
