Taxonomy
Parapryg alogus was named by Aristov and Rasnitsyn (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 4811/263, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Nedubrovo (PIN collection 4811), which is in a Changhsingian lacustrine - small siltstone in the Vokhma Formation of the Russian Federation.
