Taxonomy
Kamamica promota was named by Aristov and Rasnitsyn (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 3474/339, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tyulkino, PIN collection 3474, Kama River, which is in a Kungurian lagoonal claystone in the Solikamsk Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Kamamica.
