Taxonomy
Holcothyris acuminata was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is GSI Type No. 11756 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pangwoleng, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
