Taxonomy
Holcothyris rotundata was named by Sahni (1940). Its type specimen is GSI Type No. 16735 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tao hkio (1/2 mile ENE), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
