Taxonomy
Holcothyris raoi was named by Sahni (1940). Its type specimen is GSI Type No. 16743 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hka-lin (=Hka-lingngwa) 1/2 mile north, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
