Bihenithyris was named by Muir-Wood (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath J Call-m Sepkoski's reference number: 1,877,882]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Loboidothyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
