Taxonomy
Myophorella (Myophorella) bolitoensis was named by Pérez et al. (2008). Its type specimen is SNGM 646, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada El Bolito, Atacama, which is in an Opalinum open shallow subtidal horizon in Chile.
