Taxonomy
Myophorella (Myophorella) reginae was named by Pérez et al. (2008). Its type specimen is SNGM 649, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Guardia, Atacama, which is in a Toarcian open shallow subtidal horizon in Chile.
