Taxonomy
Subvinalesphinctes pseudokranaus was named by Parent et al. (2006). Its type specimen is LPB 707, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chacay Melehue, CM4, La Manga Formation, Neuquen, which is in an Oxfordian marine limestone/marl in the La Manga Formation of Argentina.
