Taxonomy
Holcorhynchia yakacikensis was named by Ager (1959). Its type specimen is B.M. BB. 21784, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yakacik Valley, which is in a Sinemurian carbonate limestone in Turkey.
