Taxonomy
Cardium submulticostatum was named by d'Orbigny (1850). It is the type species of Tutcheria.

It was recombined as Tutcheria submulticostata by Cox (1946) and Paredes et al. (2013).

Synonyms
  • Cardita liasina was named by Moore (1867). It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Tutcheria submulticostata by Cox (1946).
