Taxonomy
Terebratula davidsoni was named by Haime (1855).

It was recombined as Cuersithyris davidsoni by Rodrigo and Comas-Rengifo (1998) and Alméras and Fauré (2000); it was recombined as Lobothyris davidsoni by Rakús and Guex (2002).
