Taxonomy
Terebratula oxynoti was named by Quenstedt (1852).

It was recombined as Rhynchonella oxynoti by Davidson (1878); it was recombined as Cuneirhynchia oxynoti by Ager (1962) and Alméras and Fauré (2007).
